i really like your schemetic sketches of the design and the text really complements it! nice work. One thing about the background if you turn the opacity down a bit, the sketches would be more clear!

it is really nice to see all the sketches that you made for this assignment. showing all the other work that you did that may not have made it to the final poster really informs the final production.

Like I said in class, I think that this is a very successful layout. The text in the background adds a texture that is rather noce. However, when this is blown up and the text is more readable, it might be a little overwhelming. Still, for this size, it is a very nice little poster.

Besides that, I really like the rendered section. Though there are just the patches of colour as opposed to a fully rendered image, I think it looks really nice. A little diagramatic, but it pulls the eye in and then leads it around the poster with the use of similar colours across the board.

Diane,

The colors you've picked for this poster about debate are really strong. At first glance, I though they too 'pastel-y,' but after looking closer, the colors actually look really well. It gives the poster a light-hearted, which I think many debates can use: they're often too serious, even though the outcomes are usually important. However, official debate rooms might do themselves a favor and paint the walls with colors similar to yours.

Cheers,

Jeff
