I was really glad that you were able to simplify your composition and work with paper with different material properties. While the overall form is really exhuberant, it has more control due to the similarity of forms and the reduced number of components. It's great that you were able3 to build it and get such a great photo of the work.
If you were going to make a more finished version, then the connection of the sticks to the lamp base would become an issue: perhaps there would be a quiet cylinder that houses the lamp base and anchors the sticks. You might fix most of the sail pieces and have one or two rotate to give a controlled variability.
I like the poster a lot - the 3 small wire frame images make a nice set to contrast with the large rendering and intense photo. In the rendering, using two different textures distracts from the unity of the piece. The more organic look of the large stripes of the top set works nicely in comparison with the digital form. I like the organized feel of the lower tight stripes but don't find them as interesting. Did you say that you used only one light source? The strong variety of shadow shapes is pretty overwhelming. Perhaps adding another light could soften the contrast.
Generally, the color of the poster is very unified and bold. Adding a slightly warmer yellow light into the rendering coudl help it match the photo's color cast. (or adjust the photo in Photoshop?)

Glad to see the energy that you put into this.
